Springdale is a very active place since its rebirth in 2003. There is continuous promotion to let people know that there is nearly 50,000 spaces available for service as well as a pet burial portion. Work never stops to refurbish and improve the infrastructure which consists of over six miles of roadway and a mausoleum that is as good as new.
Springdale is the resting place for many notable figures of Illinois history. The work of building a computer database of internment’s is complete from 1900 to the present and now those prior to 1900 is being prepared.
During the year there is a variety of events and services available; such as the “Avenue of Flags” and wreaths.
